Corn Dolly making is an ancient craft. At harvest time a Corn Dolly would be made from the last pieces of wheat from the field, in the hope of capturing The Corn Spirit within the Corn Dolly. The following year the Corn Dolly would be broken open over the seed that was to be sown, thus replacing The Corn Spirit in the hope of ensuring good harvest the coming year.

All the Corn Dollies here have been hand made in our farmhouse here in the North Welsh hills with care and a concern for neatness.

Corn Dollies will arrive with you in a presentable box nestled in black tissue paper ready for you to give as a gift or to covet for yourself. Alternatively, if you are thinking of giving this as a gift, I can send it directly to an address of your choice, including a note that you write and I’ll print off and enclose. “Get Well” or “All The Best In Your New House”, “Happy Birthday” etc, a Corn Dolly is a fantastic traditional good luck gift that will be treasured for many years.
